Alex Sink Hit With New Ad From NRCC
Posted at 10:26 a.m. on Feb. 24
The National Republican Congressional Committee released a new TV ad Monday against Alex Sink, the Democrat running in the upcoming special election in Florida’s 13th District.
The ad seeks to highlight differences between Sink, the Sunshine State’s former chief financial officer, and lobbyist David Jolly, the GOP nominee.
“David Jolly: Cut spending, stop Obamacare. Alex Sink: More spending, defend Obamacare,” an announcer says in the 30-secont spot. “She’s fighting for them, not for us.”
The ad is part of the more than $1 million the NRCC has spent on ads in the race this year.
Sink and Jolly will face off in a March 11 special election to replace the late Rep. C.W. Bill Young, the long-serving Republican in the House who died in October.
The race is rated Tossup by Rothenberg Political Report/Roll Call.
