Colorado Primary Results: Doug Lamborn Survives Scare

Rep. Doug Lamborn, a Republican, barely bested his GOP primary challenger, ret. Air Force Gen. Bentley Rayburn Tuesday evening.

Lamborn had 53 of the vote at the time The Associated Press called the race. Rayburn trailed by 6 points.

Lamborn had a primary scare in 2012 and prevailed. Even so, his fundraising this time was lackluster. Earlier this month, Rayburn raised $10,000 more than Lamborn in the pre-primary reporting period.

The race is rated Safe Republican by Rothenberg Political Report/Roll Call.

Colorado’s 4th District

Weld County District Attorney Ken Buck won the GOP nomination to succeed Rep. Cory Gardner, R-Colo., in Congress.

Buck had 44 percent of the vote when The Associated Press called the race.

Buck was the GOP nominee for Senate in 2010, but his campaign stumbled after he made a handful of controversial statements. Buck entered the race for Senate again this cycle but later dropped down to the House contest when Gardner decided to run against Democratic Sen. Mark Udall.
The race is rated Safe Republican by the Rothenberg Political Report/Roll Call.

CD4, Jess Loban is the right person to represent us. Pro 2nd amendment, fiscally conservative, and is ready to stand for our rights in Washington. He will be on the ballot in November. http://www.jessloban.com

I encourage all voters to look into Ken Buck’s controversial statements.
