Conservative Americans for Prosperity Launches Anti-Obamacare Ads in N.C., W.Va.

Americans for Prosperity, the powerful conservative group backed by brothers David and Charles Koch, on Tuesday announced a $1.4 million ad buy in North Carolina attacking Sen. Kay Hagan’s support of the 2010 health care law.

The group released spots against Hagan and also Rep. Nick J. Rahall II, D-WVa., who is facing a competitive re-election bid. The ads can be viewed here and here.

“Families in North Carolina and West Virginia are suffering from the many consequences of ObamaCare, which include cancelled plans, lost access to doctors, and rising costs. Kay Hagan and Nick Rahall have chosen to stand with President Obama, instead of the American people. They must be held accountable for supporting a law that has brought so much hardship to their constituents,” AFP President Tim Phillips said in a statement.

The Hagan ad features a woman looking straight into the camera, talking in soft tones and concluding that “Obamacare doesn’t work” and that health care should not be political, never mind that she is saying so in a political ad.

The Rahall spot, which the group said was released “to accompany the launch of Americans for Prosperity’s newest state chapter in West Virginia,” is more traditional, with video and audio of both Obama and Rahall saying that Americans who liked their health care policies could maintain them after the law was enacted.

The North Carolina Senate race is rated Tossup/Tilts Democratic by Rothenberg Political Report. Rahall’s race is rated Leans Democratic.

I’ve one ad in which a woman claims she had good insurance for her Lupus, for only $53 a month before Obamacare….Only an idiot would believe that…but this is America, and there is the Tea Party.

I had good insurance, at approximately $100 a month. After odumacare, a lesser plan, with much higher deductible will cost me $258 a month!! How is this affordable? My mother, who is disabled and on a fixed, limited income, has seen all of her needed prescriptions double and triple in cost. She is now forced to pick between groceries and some of her meds. Fair? Affordable? HECK NO!!

I lost my insurance too. Great plan, decent price. Now a lesser plan with huge deductible will cost me $258 a month. I can’t afford any more money out of pocket. How’s this affordable or fair?

The story of the the woman with Lupus in Tennessee has already been shown to be a fraud.
I find it funny when anyone says they had “good” insurance for $100 a month, since it is impossible for me to see the policy, and figure out how “good” insurance can be had for such low amount, when the average employer provided plan in 2012 was over $400 a month.
But something tells me you won’t provide details. Oh well.

The problem with conservatives is they think everyone else is as stupid as they are. CONs will believe this impossible to believe claim. Nobody else will. The chance of you providing proof of your claim are nil. Every claim of losing coverage or paying more for insurance for less coverage under the Affordable Care Act has been shown to be a total fraud. That doesn’t stop CONs from lying, does it?

Oh, by the way, the insurance policy I had before the Affordable Care Act costs $2,000.00 / month, had a $10,000.00 deductible and didn’t cover office visits. The “Obamacare” policy I have has a $0.00 deductible and I actually get a $500.00 rebate from the insurance company every month. See how easy it is to manufacture a fraud? My claim is every bit as believable as your claim is.

The Affordable Care Act is the law of the land, just as Obama is President. Get used to it. Of course, if you don’t believe you should pay taxes for all the government benefits you get every day you can always go live in Somalia — no taxes or government to deal with. A CON’s paradise!!

THIS COMMERCIAL MAKES ME WANT TO THROW MY REMOTE AT THE TV!! SInce they are coming through on my Hulu plus account, it’s like I am paying to be LIED to. They are the most blantant bunch of lies and nonsense. Millions are now without healthcare? How about the millions that couldn’t afford it before? I know the Koch Brothers think that medical care should only be for the rich, but they are living in the Land of Entitlement and have no idea the reality of this world. Let them keep it up, I not against having a French Revolution in America. It didn’t go well for Marie Antoinette.

You are full of crap! I had cancer and before Obamacare not one insurance company would touch me. The best possible price I found was $2500 a month.
Last week I signed up with full coverage for less then $300 a month. This is FACT!

Here are some Bible verses that Pres. Obama avoids:
Proverbs 19:10 (NIV): “It is not fitting for a fool to live in luxury – how much worse for a slave to rule over princes!”
Also Proverbs 30:22 (NIV) which says that the earth cannot bear up under “a servant who becomes king.”
And Ecclesiastes 5:2-3 (KJV) advises: “let thy words be few…a fool’s voice is known by multitude of words.”
Although Obama is not descended from slaves, he may feel that he’s destined to become a black-slavery avenger.
Or maybe an enslaver of all free citizens!
