Candidate’s Wife Stars in New TV Ad in Montana Race
Posted at 1:11 p.m. on May 6
Former Montana Senate Minority Leader Corey Stapleton went on the air with a new advertisement that follows a recent trend in campaign television spots: Having a family member make the case.
Stapleton’s wife, Terry, touts his biography in the positive spot.
A Stapleton source estimated the two-week ad-buy cost the campaign $80,000. It was produced by RedPrint Strategy.
Stapleton is running in a crowded primary to replace Republican Rep. Steve Daines, who is running for Senate.
State Sens. Elsie Arntzen and Matt Rosendale and former state Sen. Ryan Zinke are also running for the GOP nod.
Former Capitol Hill Staffer John Lewis is the presumptive Democratic nominee.
The race is rated Favored Republican by Rothenberg Political Report/Roll Call.
