Daily Ad Track
Posted at 3:04 p.m. on Oct. 19, 2012
Forget gutter politics. One ad today is so nasty it is going straight to the toilet.
Florida 22
This ad is why we try to avoid labeling Daily Ad Track with words like “best.” At first, this ad from Republican Adam Hasner seems like a normal checklist of negative points against Democrat Lois Frankel. But at the end, it takes a grody turn. The Hasner camp did not immediately return a call requesting buy information, but the biggest question we have is, will this ad air during dinner time?
Illinois 10
This new ad from Democrat Brad Schneider’s campaign literally paints the picture for voters. Schneider is challenging Rep. Robert Dold (R). The Schneider campaign did not immediately reply to a request for buy information.
The 60 Plus Association, a group that bills itself as a conservative alternative to AARP (much to AARP’s chagrin) is up with an ad comparing House Democratic candidates state Sen. Kyrsten Sinema and former Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick. It strikes one as an odd comparison — but there is a strategic value. In one ad, the group can attack Democrats in two different districts that share the Phoenix media market.
The 60 Plus Association is also making waves with an ad in the Arizona 2nd race.
