EMILY’s List announced their preliminary support for six new female House candidates from across the country on Monday.
The organization, which supports female Democratic candidates who back abortion rights, stopped short of giving the contenders their full endorsements.
But the following candidates have been placed “On the List,” giving them access to EMILY’s List’s fundraising and grass-roots supporters:
The six new candidates EMILY’s List placed “On the List” join six other House candidates who have already earned that distinction, including former judge Ann Callis in Illinois’ 13th District and attorney Eloise Gomez Reyes, who is running in a contested Democratic primary in California’s 31st District.
“Alma, Staci, Erin, Pam, Emily, and Elisabeth are all smart, tough leaders who have tackled diverse challenges in their communities,” EMILY’s List President Stephanie Schriock said in a news release. “They have what it takes to stand up to anti-woman Republicans, and move us forward with real solutions to our nation’s biggest problems, and we’re thrilled to support them during the early days of their campaigns.”
