Rhode Island: David Cicilline Goes Up With First TV Ad

Rep. David Cicilline (D) went on the air with a positive TV ad that stresses his office’s work in constituent services.

The buy is at least five figures and will be on broadcast television during the Olympics.

Cicilline is in a tough re-election race for the 1st district because of lingering budget issues during his tenure as Providence mayor. The presumptive GOP nominee is former Rhode Island State Police Superintendent Brendan Doherty.

Cicilline also faces a primary challenge in businessman Anthony Gemma. The primary is Sept. 11. Roll Call rates this race as a Tossup.
