Third California Democrat Endorses Wendy Greuel

Democratic Rep. Adam B. Schiff is now the third member of California’s Democratic House delegation to endorse former Los Angeles City Controller Wendy Greuel in the race for the state’s open 33rd District seat, according to a release shared first with CQ Roll Call.

“Wendy Greuel is the right choice to replace the irreplaceable Henry Waxman,” Schiff, who represents the neighboring 28th District, said in a statement Thursday. “I have worked with Wendy for more than a decade and she knows how to make government work for everyone.”

Democratic Reps. Tony Cardenas and Lucille Roybal-Allard — also LA-based members — previously endorsed Greuel.

The race to replace Democratic Rep. Henry A. Waxman, who announced his retirement in January, is rated a Safe Democrat contest by Rothenberg Political Report/Roll Call. But under California’s top-two primary system, the district could host a competitive general-election race.

A half-dozen other Democrats, including state Sen. Ted Lieu and Matt Miller, a radio host and former aide to President Bill Clinton, are also vying for the seat. But the crowded nature of the primary extends beyond Waxman’s party.

Veteran and Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity head Elan Carr is the most well-known Republican currently in the field, while a couple of independent candidates, author Marianne Williamson and documentary filmmaker Brent Roske, are also running for the seat.

Waxmen was a sleazy little liar, I wouldn’t want Wendy associated with that pig.

If it wasn’t for Waxmen and racist Beverly Hills we would already have a subway to the sea built under Santa Monica Blvd.

I do like Wendy though. Her literature wasn’t full of crap most. That in itself says a lot.
